A PSL to get you through the BER months.

Those fall mornings just hit differently. And if your fall has been anything like mine, it’s done nothing – literally nothing – but rain for the last week straight.

The gloom, the dreariness, the overall mood. I’m all about a good rain, but when it’s a cloudy sky 24/7 – I’m talking zero sun, – for days – small pick-me-ups are essential.

Enter the perfect Pumpkin Spice Latte.

It’s easy, scrumptious, and – definitely, literally, warms my mood.

I like my cup-o-joe quite large in the morning, so this recipe is for 10 ounces, but you can honestly play with it until the ratio’s work for you!.

Ingredients:

  • 10 ounces of your favorite coffee, brewed to perfection
  • 4 TBSP Organic Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 TBSP maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 cup (organic) milk of choice

I like to froth my milk, so I make the PSL in 2 major steps, as follows.

  1. Hot Mix: Add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin spice to hot coffee – mix well
  2. Cold Mix: Combine vanilla extract and milk together, then froth until your liking
  3. Then simply pour the Cold Mix into the Hot Mix, sprinkle a dash of pumpkin spice on top, and ahhhhhh.
  4. Enjoy!

If you have a similar recipe, or have tried this recipe in different ratio’s, let me know! I like this because it has a hint of sweetness without being overbearing. I’ve been making it every morning for a week straight, and I have no intentions of stopping.

Bring on the BER months! I’ve got this uplifting PSL with me!
